December 7, 2024 – The Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School (OLSHS) community joyfully celebrated a significant spiritual milestone as its students received the Sacraments of First Confession and First Holy Communion. The event, held on December 6 and 7, 2024, was a profound and blessed occasion for the communicants, their families, and the entire faith community.

The spiritual preparation began on December 6 with a meaningful day of reflection and prayer. Under the guidance of Reverend Father Fredrick Edward Simon, the parish priest, the children received the Sacrament of First Confession, marking a pivotal step in their faith journey. The day also featured a heartfelt Recollection led by Reverend Father Allan Bundoc, SVD, a guest priest, who provided deep spiritual insights for both the communicants and their parents or guardians.

On December 7, the sacred ceremony of First Holy Communion took place, presided over by Reverend Father Fredrick Edward Simon. The beautiful and solemn event was attended by the OLSHS A.R. Sisters, faculty, staff, and the families of the communicants. The students, dressed in white, received the Eucharist for the first time, symbolizing their growing relationship with Christ and their commitment to their faith.

The school expressed its heartfelt congratulations to the communicants and extended its gratitude to their parents and guardians for their unwavering support and dedication. Special appreciation was also given to the OLSHS community, including the A.R. Sisters, faculty, and staff, for their efforts in ensuring the success of the event.

This blessed occasion not only strengthened the faith of the communicants but also served as an inspiration for the entire OLSHS community. May this sacred milestone continue to guide and inspire the students as they walk in the light of Christ and grow in their spiritual journey.

Together in faith, we celebrate this holy and joyous occasion. ✝️
