OLSHS Intramurals 2024: A Resounding Success in Empowering OLSHSians Beyond Sports

Quezon City, Philippines – Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School (OLSHS) successfully concluded its much-awaited Intramurals 2024, held from October 2 to 4, 2024. The three-day event was filled with intense competition, teamwork, and school spirit, as students showcased their athletic skills while embracing the core values of Love, Simplicity, Honesty, and Obedience.

With the theme “Empowering OLSHSians Beyond Sports”, the event went beyond physical contests, highlighting discipline, leadership, and camaraderie among students.

A Grand Opening to Remember

The opening ceremony, held on the morning of October 2, was a momentous occasion that set the stage for the competitions. The event began with an invocation, followed by opening remarks from Sr. Rhena Sherra H. Caranzo, AR, who emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and personal growth.

The Lighting of the Torch, symbolizing the spirit of competition and unity, was led by Keith Talavera and Khalix Delos Santos, while team captains of both Junior and Senior Divisions proudly raised their banners. Jared Topacio led the Pledge of Sportsmanship, inspiring all participants to compete with integrity and respect.

A highlight of the opening program was the Search for Ms. Intramurals 2024, which added excitement to the festivities. The winner was later crowned in an awarding ceremony before the official start of the games.

Thrilling Competitions and School Spirit

From the first whistle to the final buzzer, the Intramurals 2024 witnessed exhilarating matches across various sports, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, table tennis, and scrabble. Students competed fiercely while embodying the school’s core values.

The parade, featuring the school band, kindergarten students, and core values representatives, was a colorful and inspiring display of school pride.
